Jett Jano is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. He grew up listening to hometown musical greats such as Eubie Blake, Billie Holiday, Dru Hill, and Mario to name a few. The development of Jett’s eclectic timbre can be traced to his musical influences who are very diverse and extensive. They include legends such as Michael Jackson, Gil Scott-Heron, Prince; and other creatives such as Frank Ocean, Steve Lacy, and Kaytranada to name a few. These influences helped to shape and define his lyrical style and creativity. “The one word that DOES NOT describe Jett Jano’s sound is the word: “ordinary.” His style, lyrics, and vocals are all uniquely unto themselves.
